The first scene that has hit the web from the biopic movie based on the life and works of Steve Jobs has been questioned by the fellow co-founder of Apple Steve Wozniak for inaccuracy.
Ashton Kutcher plays Steve Jobs in the movie whereas Josh Gad plays Wozniak. In the scene both discuss a computer which would ultimately become the first Apple. In the scene where both are walking through the garage of Hewlett-Packard, Jobs is seen convincing Wozniak that his Apple computer would be a product people would love to buy.
“Nobody wants to buy a computer. Nobody,” Wozniak says in the scene, to which Jobs says. “How does somebody know what they want if they’ve never even seen it?”
The scene, though very entertaining , has been questioned by Steve Wozniak, in a comment he left on tech blog Gizmodo while joining a discussion about the movie clip.
“Not close…we never had such interaction and roles…I’m not even sure what it’s getting at…personalities are very wrong although mine is closer…don’t forget that my purpose was inspired by the values of the Homebrew Computer Club along with ideas of the value of such machines and Steve J. wasn’t around and didn’t attend the club so he was the one learning about such social impact of the future,” Wozniak said in the comment.
In short, Wozniak wants to suggest that it was he and not Jobs who first got grasp of the true value of the personal computer and the role it was going to play in people’s lives.
The movie is going to be released in theaters on April 19th.
